A Business Degree with a Healthcare Focus
Unlike traditional healthcare degrees that primarily focus on clinical or medical sciences, the IBS programme takes a business-first approach. Students develop a comprehensive foundation in management, finance, marketing, economics, strategy, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, while gaining specialised knowledge of the healthcare industry.
The six-semester, 180-credit degree incorporates 35 credits of healthcare-focused studies, combining compulsory modules with opportunities to choose subjects aligned with individual career interests.
What Will Students Learn?
The Health Management specialisation introduces students to the most important business and management challenges facing modern healthcare organisations.
Three core areas form the foundation of the specialisation:
- Healthcare Systems and Policy: Understand how healthcare systems operate, how they are financed and regulated, and how public and private healthcare providers work together.
- Health Finance and Economics: Explore healthcare financing, budgeting, cost management and the economic decisions that affect healthcare organisations.
- Digital Health: Discover how digital technologies, telemedicine, electronic health records and artificial intelligence are transforming healthcare delivery and management.
Students can further personalise their studies by choosing three of four advanced modules:
- Health Insurance, Reimbursement and Payer Management
- AI Applications in Healthcare
- Private Healthcare and Hospital Management
- Health Ethics, Communication and Patient Experience
Why Choose Health Management at IBS?
