Join the IBS Summer School and gain future‑ready skills at the intersection of artificial intelligence, business, and responsible decision‑making, all while experiencing two of Europe’s most exciting capitals: Budapest and Vienna.
Programme Overview
The IBS Summer School is an immersive, international summer programme designed for students who want to understand how AI is shaping business, society, and university‑level learning. Through interactive classes, hands‑on projects, and cultural experiences, participants develop critical thinking, communication, and responsible AI use skills that provide a strong academic and professional head start.
Who Is This Programme For?
This Summer School is ideal for:
- Students curious about how AI influences business, technology, and society
- Those already using AI tools and wanting to use them smarter, faster, and more responsibly
- Future university applicants seeking a competitive academic head start
- International students who enjoy cross‑cultural teamwork and collaboration
If you are motivated, curious, and ready to think critically about technology, you will feel right at home at IBS.
What Will You Learn?
The AI Summer Lab focuses on thinking skills, not coding. You will learn how to:
- Understand what AI really is - and what it is not
- Think critically and question AI‑generated information
- Use AI tools effectively for research, projects, and presentations
- Apply AI responsibly and ethically, with awareness of bias, fairness, and transparency
- Approach learning the university and business way
Learning takes place through interactive mini‑lectures, group work, guided projects, and case studies from marketing, management, finance, and economics.
The Structure of the Week
Each day blends academic learning with cultural discovery:
- Morning classes and interactive workshops
- Hands‑on AI exercises and guided project work
- Group discussions and presentations
- Afternoon social programmes and excursions
- Final Presentation Day, where participants present an AI‑supported business or research idea, explain how AI was used, and reflect on its reliability and responsibility
This structure ensures both academic depth and an unforgettable summer experience.
Study in Two Iconic European Capitals
Budapest – The Pearl of the Danube
Budapest combines historic charm with a vibrant student lifestyle. From medieval castles and grand bridges to cafés, thermal baths, and lively street culture, the city offers an inspiring environment for learning and exploration. It is affordable, international, and one of the safest cities in Europe.
Vienna – Europe’s Historic Capital of Culture
Vienna is renowned for its music, imperial architecture, and exceptional quality of life. Clean, walkable, and student‑friendly, the city blends rich history with modern energy. It consistently ranks among the world’s most liveable cities.
Activities and Excursions
Beyond the classroom, participants enjoy a carefully curated cultural programme, including:
- Sightseeing in Budapest and Vienna
- Visits to unique and interactive museums
- Cultural immersion experiences with local food and traditions
- Team‑building activities such as sports and laser tag
- A memorable Danube River dinner cruise
These experiences create lasting memories and international friendships.
Certificate, Credits, and Future Opportunities
Upon successful completion, participants receive an official IBS Certificate of Completion, which can be added to their CV or university applications.
During the programme, students also have the opportunity to apply on the spot to IBS BSc programmes, with the registration fee waived for Summer School participants.
