In order to maintain academic excellence, IBS puts special emphasis on quality assurance. Besides our strategic partner, The University of Buckingham, we are accredited by a number of other quality assurance bodies.
Our institution greatly benefits from these accreditations, since all these institutions have their own rigorous evaluation methods. By constantly striving to meet these quality standards, IBS keeps revising all its practices and processes in this respect only to result in constant improvement of quality.
BAC
This accreditation means that IBS met BAC's quality assurance standards and gained the independent Accreditation Committee’s approval. BAC, a trusted and internationally respected British quality assurance organisation reviewed IBS's processes and demonstrates to everyone that it is a high-quality institution.
In order to achieve BAC accreditation, the institution has had to demonstrate that it meets BAC’s rigorous standards in four inspection areas:
- Management, Staffing and Administration
- Teaching, Learning and Assessment
- Student Welfare
- Premises and Facilities
Education experts from the BAC inspectorate assessed IBS against their standards during a formal inspection visit. The Inspection team wrote a report for the independent Accreditation Committee who subsequently awarded accreditation which is valid for four years.
British standards
British education is known for its very high quality and therefore this accreditation ensures to students, parents and partners that the education provided by IBS is of the highest quality available. Some of the key things that the British brand represents are:
- High-quality processes and procedures
- An emphasis on externality (at both programme and organisational level)
- Ensuring regular reviews of provision which involve both internal and external stakeholders
- Focus on ensuring there are robust systems in place to provide support to students or participants
BAC
BAC was established by the UK’s Department of Education and the British Council in 1984 to oversee independent further and higher education in the UK. As a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) BAC has been externally assessed on its standards and processes. BAC currently accredits more than 230 institutions across 19 countries.
FIBAA
We are proud to announce that Bachelor and Master’s programmes at International Business School (IBS), most of which are delivered in collaboration with The University of Buckingham, have been accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation. FIBAA is an internationally oriented German agency for quality assurance and quality development in higher education. FIBAA bases its work on national and international requirements and standards. Particular attention is given to the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) as well as to the promotion of practical relevance and employability.
By the accreditation of these programmes, IBS has become the first higher education institution in Hungary to hold FIBAA accreditations.
Following the strict evaluation process, the listed programmes have been accredited and have been awarded the FIBAA quality seal:

LCCI
The LCCI language exam is an internationally recognized exam, which is accredited in Hungary, too. If you want to study abroad or obtain a good quality language exam, or if you simply need an exam for your degree, it is the best choice!
Another advantage of this exam is that it is an English for Business exam, and it contains real-life written tasks (such as letters, memos, reports, etc.) and oral situations. What is more, the Business English classes we have here it IBS provide an excellent basis for the LCCI exam.
The LCCI exam has three levels: Level 1 for beginners, Level 2 for intermediate level students and Level 3 for advanced level students.
In order to make it easier for our students to pass this exam, we regularly organize preparatory courses for the exam, which are usually 32 hours long and take place here at IBS.
If you want to know more about the exam (courses, books, tasks, application) please the Student Center at studentadmin@ibs-b.hu or at www.lcci.hu.
