International Business School is a state-recognized business school in Hungary, which holds an operating licence from the Educational Authority in Hungary; official data on the school and the programmes it offers is available through the official public records maintained by the Educational Authority.
As a prestigious business school, we are dedicated to the continuous improvement of the institution and programmes, so we place special emphasis on quality assurance and enhancement. Over and beyond the internal processes that ensure the quality of all programmes delivered at the School, our programmes (their content, assessment, results, etc.) and resources (physical, staffing, etc.) approved and constantly monitored by our strategic partner, The University of Buckingham. Furthermore, we also hold accreditations from several internationally recognized quality assurance agencies.
These accreditations mean that our students, their families, and the future employers of our graduates can be certain that the provision continually meets rigorous international academic standards and that the degrees awarded by IBS remain competitive on an international scale.
For the full international accreditation record of IBS International Business School, please visit the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) website.
International Business School is accredited as an institution by the British Accreditation Council (BAC). The accreditation attests that IBS meets the rigorous academic standards that are set by one of the leading UK accreditation bodies, a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). By choosing an institution accredited by BAC, students can gain additional assurance that their institution meets globally-recognised educational standards.
In order to achieve BAC accreditation, BAC has inspected the management, teaching, student welfare, and premises of IBS to ensure that it meets the high standards required of higher education institutions in the UK. The inspection targeted the following areas:
- Governance, Strategy and Financial Management
- Academic Management and Administration
- Teaching, Learning and Assessment
- Student Recruitment, Support, Guidance and Progression
- Premises, Facilities and Learning Resources
- Quality Management, Assurance and Enhancement
In 2023, IBS extended its accreditation by BAC for its second 4-year term. The accreditation is valid until 31 March 2027.
To attain accreditation organisation must meet the standards that BAC has established and periodically reviews. The accreditation process involves a rigorous inspection on campus that focuses on the quality assurance processes of the organisation in a number of distinct areas: management, staffing, and administration; teaching, learning, and assessment; student welfare; and premises and facilities. Once accredited, the organisation must submit to a regular monitoring process involving interim, supplementary, and spot-check inspections.
British Accreditation Council (BAC)
BAC was established by the UK’s Department of Education and the British Council in 1984 to oversee independent further and higher education in the UK. As a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE), BAC has been externally assessed on its own standards and processes. Today, BAC accredits more than 230 organisations across the world (with most accredited organisations in the UK). For more information, please visit the British Accreditation Council (BAC) website.
