IBS World Tour 2026

Entering Second Round

The IBS World Tour 2026 Trivia Competition has now completed its first round and is moving into the next phase. The opening stage brought together a large number of participants, who competed in English through a 100-question quiz and a written essay. This round focused on general knowledge, critical thinking, and the ability to perform under time pressure.

From this broad field, only the top 10 students progress to the second round, making this stage considerably more selective and competitive.

The format of the second round builds on the first, while placing greater emphasis on presentation and communication skills. In addition to another quiz, each finalist is required to deliver a 10-minute presentation on an assigned topic. This element assesses not only knowledge, but also the ability to structure ideas clearly, present arguments effectively, and engage an audience with confidence.

What distinguishes the IBS World Tour is its balanced approach. Rather than focusing purely on memorisation, it encourages students to think critically, communicate clearly, and apply their knowledge in a practical context.

At this stage, the stakes are also higher. Finalists compete for a range of prizes, including international travel opportunities, scholarships, and exclusive experiences.

As the competition progresses into the second round, the emphasis shifts from broad participation to individual performance. With a smaller group and more demanding tasks, this phase highlights not just what students know, but how effectively they can demonstrate it.
