- Overview
Miklós took a degree in English Language and Literature / EFL teaching from Eötvös University, Hungary in 1999. By 2004 he had attended several universities abroad and became an English Language assessor for today’s ORIGO Nyelvi Centrum, for ECL, and for the Hungarian Matura Examinations (B2 Level English). From then on he also led preparatory courses for students applying for Eötvös University’s English Programme.
Between 2008-2017 he lived in the United Kingdom, working in state education as well as a private tutor, meeting hundreds of students and visiting over sixty schools in London.
From 2018 he worked for some years as a language teacher and academic manager/Head of Department at Budapest’s Orchidea School and for Oxford Summer Courses in Britain.
Since 2019, he has been an Academic English tutor at the University of Oxford Language Centre's Pre-Sessional courses and its term time tutor from 2025.
From 2019 he has worked as a language teacher at ELTE Faculty of Arts' Foundation Programme, for IBS, and as a business communication teacher at Business and Economics Summer University (Faculty of Economics, ELTE).
His main areas of professional interest are: using writing for general foreign language development and breaking down writing skills intro subtasks. His other professional skills include: IELTS/Cambridge exam preparation, oral assessment, skills development.
As a keen language learner himself, he has learnt Arabic, Dutch, Hebrew, and currently German. His other hobbies include music, reading, sports, and creative writing.
