Judit KISS, PhD is a professor of international economics and development studies at the International Business School/the University of Buckingham and a research professor at the Institute for World Economics, Centre for Economics and Regional Studies. She holds a BA in International Trade, an MA in International Relations, a PhD in Development Economics from the University of Economics (Budapest), and a doctorate in Sciences from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. She was a visiting professor at Dar es Salaam University (Tanzania) between 1985 and 1989 and conducted field research in Botswana, China, India, Tanzania, and Namibia. Her main fields of research are international trade, EU, the economic development of the Sub-Saharan African countries, WTO, FDI, remittances, agricultural development, food security, and international development aid. She has over 350 scientific publications in Hungarian and foreign languages. She has participated and/or lectured at more than 200 international conferences and conducted consultancy and research for international organisations such as the EU, ILO, KPMG, UNCTAD, UNIDO, UNITAR, World Bank.
