Jeffrey Taylor acquired his knowledge in the arts management sector by establishing Hungary's leading commercial transporter of art and antiques as well as serving as an art advisor and an appraiser. He earned his PhD from Central European University in 2011, writing his dissertation and first book on the subject of the history of the Hungarian art market. He has previously taught as a professor at the State University of New York and Western Colorado University, and is now the US Fulbright Scholar at the European Humanities University in Vilnius, Lithuania. He has subsequently published two more books on arts management, the most recent: The Art Business: Art World, Art Market, was published by Routledge for their Discovering the Creative Industries series in September 2023. He is also a partner at New York Art Forensics, a laboratory that studies art works to determine their authenticity and attribution. Their lab has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, 60 Minutes, CNBC, Wired, and in the Netfilx documentary Made You Look.
