Admissions Coordinator

International Business School (IBS) is a dynamic and innovative private university based in Budapest, Hungary, operating according to the British higher education system. Our teaching is practice-oriented and conducted in small, interactive seminar-style classes. We are proud of our diverse international faculty and student body.

We are currently expanding and seeking a new colleague in the following field:

Admissions, Centre for Marketing and Admissions

Description of the position:

Providing information to prospective Hungarian and international students /families, assisting them throughout the admission and visa process, promoting IBS in education fairs in and outside Hungary, organising in-house events.

What kind of work to expect?

You will be joining a long-standing, excellent team of 4 working tightly together, sharing their open-plan office space. You will be assisting an exceptionally diverse range of international students from 80+ countries. As in all customer service positions, the 8-hour daily work may occasionally become stressful, repetitive, or overwhelming. Working hours may be somewhat flexible and might be combined with some home-office days at a later stage.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

  • Bachelors’ degree
  • Proficiency (written and oral) in Hungarian and in English
  • Experience of supporting and advising people using face-to-face and online platforms
  • The ability to support people with different cultural backgrounds, languages and levels of spoken English
  • Demonstrable administrative experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, and databases
  • Ability to work on own initiative, under pressure and meet deadlines, with excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to convey complex information in a concise and clear manner.
