International Day at IBS: A Global Celebration of Culture and Community

International Day at IBS was a vibrant celebration of global cultures, bringing together students from all corners of the world. The event highlighted the diverse backgrounds of the IBS community, offering a unique opportunity for students to share and experience each other’s cultures firsthand.

One of the highlights of the event was the photo contest, where students submitted captivating images that represented their cultural heritage. Each photo was accompanied by a personal description, giving insight into traditions, stories, and moments that hold meaning in their lives. The display transformed the auditorium into a mini-gallery of global perspectives.

The event also featured country tables, where students proudly set up booths decorated with flags, artifacts, souvenirs, symbolic items, homemade traditional snacks, and more. Attendees had the chance to engage with students, ask questions, and learn about customs and daily life from different parts of the world. Many students also dressed in traditional clothing, adding even more color and authenticity to the atmosphere.

Adding a fun and educational twist, the intercultural quiz challenged attendees to test their global knowledge. It sparked friendly competition and encouraged students to learn surprising facts about countries and customs they may not have been aware of before.

And, of course, no cultural celebration is complete without food. The food-tasting segment was a true feast for the senses, featuring snacks and specialties from Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. From spicy samosas to pastries, every bite was a delicious invitation into someone’s home culture.
