It is a great pleasure for our institution to announce that Dr. Bálint Nagy, Head of the Marketing Department at IBS, has received the “Honorary Lifetime Member” award at the 50th anniversary general assembly of the Hungarian Advertising Association (MRSZ). This prestigious recognition is a well-deserved acknowledgment not only of his professional career, but also of his dedication to education.
On 18 November, the Hungarian Advertising Association held its celebratory general assembly at RTL Liget, commemorating fifty years since its founding. The event not only reflected on past achievements, but also looked toward the future: it was announced that the MRSZ and the Association of Hungarian Communication Agencies (MAKSZ) will jointly organise a professional conference titled “THE SHIFT” in February 2026, aiming to bring new momentum to the development of the industry.
The lifetime achievement award holds special significance for Dr. Nagy: for decades he served as an active officer of the MRSZ, as President, Vice President, and later Executive Member, and played an important role in shaping the professional direction of the organisation. It is a noteworthy detail that he himself initiated the creation of the “Honorary Lifetime Member” title in 2014, which he was now proudly able to accept.
For us, this award is not only his personal success, but also a shared source of pride for our institution, IBS. Our lecturer is not only one of the key figures of the industry, but also an exemplary mentor to our students: through his work, he conveys the message that education and professional practice are not separate paths, but ones that can progress hand in hand.
This recognition serves as an inspiration to us and our community as well: it reinforces the belief that work invested in education, professional dedication, and contribution to the community truly create value. We are immensely proud of Dr. Bálint Nagy’s achievements, and we wholeheartedly congratulate him on this exceptional honour!
