Overview

I hold a PhD in Mathematics from Duke University (US), an MSc in Mathematics–Mechanics from the University of Bucharest (Romania), and a Professional Certificate in Data Science from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Germany).

I am currently an adjunct professor at Webster University (Vienna) and have recently taught at New European College, Wittenborg University, and the International School of Management in München, Germany. Previously, I held senior lecturer and assistant professor roles at universities in Canada (Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly Ryerson University, and Lakehead University) and Germany, as well as research and teaching appointments at Duke University (USA).

My research focuses on data analysis and business forecasting, with earlier work in image processing, wave propagation, and life-insurance mathematics. My current projects explore students’ AI literacy, metacognitive regulation, and critical thinking dispositions.
