Welcome to Career Connect Wednesdays
On four Wednesdays (March 11, March 25, April 15, and April 29), between 12:00 and 14:00, Room C011 will turn into a space where students and employers can actually talk to each other. No rush, no chaos, just meaningful interactions.
Each event will host a handful of carefully selected partners. You’ll hear short, 10-minute presentations from them, and then you’ll have the chance to meet them face-to-face at their stands, just like at a job fair, but on a much more personal level.
The idea is simple: fewer companies, more quality time.
The first event, on March 11, focuses on student job agencies. If you’ve ever felt lost when it comes to internships or part-time jobs, this is probably the best place to start. These agencies work with a wide range of companies, meaning that a huge portion of student opportunities in Hungary actually flows through them. Whether you’re in your first semester or already have some experience, this is a chance to understand how the system works, what’s out there, and how to get your foot in the door.
Two weeks later, on March 25, the focus shifts to Business Management. This time, you’ll meet companies directly from fields like marketing, HR, finance, tourism, and more. If you’re thinking about a corporate career but don’t know what it actually looks like day-to-day, this is where things start to become real. You can ask questions, hear expectations firsthand, and explore roles that might fit you even if you’re just starting out. What makes these events different is the atmosphere. They’re intentionally smaller, more relaxed, and built around conversation. You’re not just dropping off a CV, you’re starting a dialogue. And that can make all the difference.
We’re also keeping our international community in mind. Many of the opportunities presented will be available in English or other foreign languages, and companies are specifically open to IBS students from all backgrounds.
Whether you’re looking for your first internship, a flexible student job, or just trying to figure out what direction to take, Career Connect Wednesdays are designed for you.
Participation is free, but registration is required for each event.
So if you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to start thinking about your career, this might be it.
