Within the framework of the module "Introduction to Political Sciences" a senior Hungarian diplomat was talking to our students this week.
It is in the focus of the module to analyse the political structure of different countries. Mrs. Erzsébet Nagy was Hungary's Ambassador to Switzerland stationed in Bern and in this capacity she worked for more than four years in the country. She presented an extremely interesting picture of a unique democracy in the heart of Europe. The Swiss political system with its special form of government as well as with its "direct democracy" based on frequent referendums have raised many questions from the audience.
