Due to the ongoing health crisis that limits international travel, IBS introduces new possibility for students disadvantaged in terms of study abroad options. 

We enable all our applicants to start their studies online in the first year. If you are unable to travel to Hungary, you may follow the first common year of all our British bachelor's programmes online and take up classes in person whenever the travel restrictions are lifted

The application deadline for the IBS Starter Scholarship has been extended to 15 August 2020.

Furthermore, the first semester of our MSc in International Management programme will also be available online in Budapest and Vienna.

In addition, the  International University Foundation programme will be fully available online from September with the same conditions as on the BSc programme.

International University Foundation

This 1-year programme will definitely boost your English and your university study skills with 16 classes per week.

Have you ever wondered how you could improve your English efficiently? Are you considering continuing your university studies in English? Are you thinking about making a big change in your life and career and start something new? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then your place is here with us at IBS University Foundation Programme. 

Our programme offers English language subjects on four levels:

  • On the elementary level, students get General English, where they can build up their language knowledge from the foundations. They complete two course-books here, elementary level in the first semester and lower-intermediate in the second semester.
  • On lower-intermediate level, in addition to General English, students also get Culture Projects subject, where they can focus on their oral skills and on the nature of project work, which is highly appreciated at workplaces and universities all around the world. Similarly to the first level students complete two course-books here, lower-intermediate in the first semester and intermediate in the second semester.
  • On intermediate level, students get four subjects, General English, Study Skills, Maths and IT Skills and Culture Projects. Since students’ level of English is higher here, they are able to learn a range of excellent subjects, which enable them to continue their studies in English either on a BA or MA course.
  • On the upper-intermediate level, we have five subjects, General English, Business English, Study Skills, Maths and IT Skills and Culture Projects. Students have the chance to understand more difficult parts of English and obtain deeper knowledge which they can use in their academic or professional life.

Summer University Foundation

Study online with IBS this summer and qualify for our bachelor's programmes from September.

As in many countries, the A level exams are postponed and students will not be able to meet our standard entry requirements, we are offering an intensive International University Foundation programme between 25 May and 14 August 2020 for students with an advanced level of English. If their A levels are not yet completed, but they finish this programme, they will be able to start their Bachelor’s studies at IBS in September (online or face-to-face).

IBS Starter Scholarship option for BSc

Summer University Foundation students with excellent academic achievement, receive a partial scholarship which covers part of their first semester’s Bachelor tuition fee. The fee reduction is valid for the first semester of the first year, so the scholarship winners will get 50% or 25% discount of the BSc second semester fee. IBS Academic Scholarship is available from the second semester of year 1.

Category I: partial scholarship covering 50% of the first semester’s BSc tuition fee

  • the student has completed all of the modules prescribed for the given programme by the respective standard curriculum
  • must attend classes at least 75% of the time
  • the arithmetic average of his/her module-final marks is at least 75%

Category II: partial scholarship covering 25% of the first semester’s BSc tuition fee

  • the student has completed all of the modules prescribed for the given programme by the respective standard curriculum
  • must attend classes at least 75% of the time
  • the arithmetic average of his/her module-final marks is at least 70%
