Hedvig Turai is an art historian, and critic. She teaches the modules Introduction to Visual Culture and Expanding Visual Culture. Her main interest is contemporary art, the connection of art and politics, memory, and gender. She challenges received ideas about art and always connects to recent, sometimes controversial or provoking phenomena of our contemporary world.
