In order to maintain academic excellence, IBS puts special emphasis on quality assurance. Besides our strategic partner, The University of Buckingham, we are accredited by a number of other quality assurance bodies.

Our institution greatly benefits from these accreditations, since all these institutions have their own rigorous evaluation methods. By constantly striving to meet these quality standards, IBS keeps revising all its practices and processes in this respect only to result in constant improvement of quality.

IBS is BAC accredited

The British education system is quite rightly regarded as one of the best in the world. IBS was awarded full institutional accreditation.

This accreditation means that IBS met BAC's quality assurance standards and gained the independent Accreditation Committee’s approval. BAC, a trusted and internationally respected British quality assurance organisation reviewed IBS's processes and demonstrates to everyone that it is a high-quality institution.

In order to achieve BAC accreditation, the institution has had to demonstrate that it meets BAC’s rigorous standards in four inspection areas:

  • Management, Staffing and Administration
  • Teaching, Learning and Assessment
  • Student Welfare
  • Premises and Facilities

Education experts from the BAC inspectorate assessed IBS against their standards during a formal inspection visit. The Inspection team wrote a report for the independent Accreditation Committee who subsequently awarded accreditation which is valid for four years.

British standards

British education is known for its very high quality and therefore this accreditation ensures to students, parents and partners that the education provided by IBS is of the highest quality available. Some of the key things that the British brand represents are:

  • High-quality processes and procedures
  • An emphasis on externality (at both programme and organisational level)
  • Ensuring regular reviews of provision which involve both internal and external stakeholders
  • Focus on ensuring there are robust systems in place to provide support to students or participants

BAC was established by the UK’s Department of Education and the British Council in 1984 to oversee independent further and higher education in the UK. As a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) BAC has been externally assessed on its standards and processes. BAC currently accredits more than 230 institutions across 19 countries.

IBS is an accredited institution of the New York-based International Advertising Association (IAA), which gives us the right to organise educational programmes offered by IAA and to confer the IAA’s Diploma in Marketing Communications to qualified candidates.

Being suitably qualified means completing five marketing-related modules during your studies at IBS’s Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programmes and submit a marketing-related dissertation.

The International Advertising Association is a one-of-a-kind strategic partnership which champions the common interests of all the disciplines across the full spectrum of marketing communications - from advertisers to media companies to agencies to direct marketing firms - as well as individual practitioners. The International Advertising Association was founded in 1938 to champion responsible marketing communications. Over time, the IAA has become the advocate for consumer and advertiser free choice. No other Association is as inclusive of all the disciplines involved in brand building, nor has an organization which is global in scale yet has grassroots representation in 76 countries.

The IAA works for the freedom of companies to compete through responsible commercial speech, and it fights for consumer choice made possible by commercial speech which informs, inspires and empowers individuals to raise their sights and reach for the life they want.
